‘I struggled with my vanity’: Woman shares her pull-up journey, inspiring others to remain on the grind

Thinking about understanding generally is a psychological exercise in itself.

But again in January 2021, Clarissa Koh “didn’t like the way [she] looked” so she set herself a purpose of getting stronger.

She joined Nanyang Polytechnic Sprint Kayak Team (NYPSKT) and from there, Clarissa fell in love with understanding. 

On Tuesday (Oct 25), she posted a 56-second clip on TikTok of her health progress and on the time of writing, it has amassed over 34,000 views.

One would assume that discovering a brand new pastime would turn into a totally constructive expertise however that was not the way it panned out for the 21-year-old.

Early on, she “struggled with [her] self-esteem and confidence”, the nursing scholar says.

Due to her nursing attachment, she admits that it is moderately “messy” proper now. But having the ability to meet her “gym bros” retains her motivated to remain on her exercise routine.
