Aug. 9—WILLIMANTIC — Generations Family Health Center is holding an occasion Wednesday that’s designed to assist older adults, individuals with disabilities and their caregivers.

The ” Healthy Aging, Healthy Living Expo” is being held from 9 a. m. to midday exterior the middle, which is at 40 Mansfield Ave.

It is free and open to the general public.

The rain date for the occasion, which is being held by the Ossen Medicare Outreach, Education and Advocacy Team, is on Thursday.

” This is the type of event I wish I had attended when my mother had dementia and I was caring for her,” Generations Family Health Center Director of Communications Allison Heneghan, one of many occasion organizers, stated in a press launch. ” Knowing about all these different resources and programs available in my area would have helped make my life and my mom’s easier during a difficult time.”

Thirty- six distributors will likely be on the expo with details about varied subjects, together with life-style tips, getting older assets, wellness supplies, assets for caregivers, and conducting screenings. Attendees will obtain free giveaways and be entered to win door prizes.

Healthy snacks and water will likely be accessible without cost.
